Ron on Sara's 80 birthday:

I want to say something in English for all of you who were with us today and enjoyed the music.

I am sure that even without understanding Hebrew you could feel and share the warmth and love that were expressed in the words of everyone who spoke today.

For you, who didn't comprehend every word, I would like to bring a short brief reflecting the spirit, of the things that were said.

Everyone who knew Savta Sara realizes how energetic and vital she is. She is never too tired to do things, to play the piano, to play with the children , to have guests, to talk, discuss and to phylosophize. She is a wonderful pianist, and that we've all heard today. "She is also, as we learned today, a great and dedicated teacher who has influenced generations of students not only by teaching them music but also by inspiring them. Moreover, becoming a spiritual leader in their lives, actually that she is for all of us.

We all know the important role of both Lennie and Sara in the lives of all of us, the grand-children. This house has always been an endless source of warmth , power and love. We have learned here patience, understanding and dedication. We have learned here the importance of the family. We have always known that the family is the most important thing for grandpa and grandmother, as well as moral principles which they have taught us.

Your coming to be with us today has made a most exciting day even more so. Thank you for making the effort of coming from South Africa, England and America to share this unique and happy celebration.

And to you, Grandma, entering the third part of your life, having guests as usual, having grandchildren mess the house, lying in your bed, having all the people eating, and talking, making plans for the future and showing the deepest interest in everybody's life. From the bottom of our hearts, our love and best wishes.

May we all see many more years of you and of that rare combination of your unique qualities, admired by all of us.   Many Happy Returns!
